So we are going in together-- dropping the Things off, grabbing breakfast on the way. This semester we have office hours together Mondays & Wednesdays {which is lovely} but he has an early class so we don't drive in together. A few semesters ago our schedules timed out just right, and we had breakfast together every other day after dropping of the kids, then drove in together & spent the day on campus, then drove home together in time to pick the Things up from school. It was crazy cool.
A downside to teaching at the college level is that we are never sure what our schedules will be from one semester to the next. Ah well. There are many up sides to balance it out~*
Saturday is Thing 3's first formal dance-- the Fall Formal. She has a beautiful dress, Stretch has a matching tie & both are very excited. And of course, pictures shall follow next week~*
Thing 2 isn't going, & isn't happy about it, but then we weren't happy about his grade in Algebra so it all balances out quite nicely. And Thing 1 has just gotten her first real job, working at Express in our local mall. She worked before, for the mother of a friend, but it was under-the-table & insulated from the usual retail demands. She will do wonderfully, though I imagine she won't be bringing much of her paycheck home what with the employee discount and it being Express.
As for us, after our Friday work adventures we shall be blissfully un-busy this weekend. My husband might be going to a local meeting of Dungeons & Dragons. Did I mention he is the most wonderful nerd? I shall be having a craft-extravaganza, sewing an owl pillow for another prize winner {congrats Kaitlyn!} preparing for the holidays, working on stocking stuffers & trying to perfect a pillow squirrel. Because who wouldn't want a pillow squirrel I ask you? I'm becoming a pillow queen~*
So here's to hopping into a gorgeous, groovy weekend of wonders!

I am thinking of switching from admin. to teaching since I've been off five years raising my little man. I think the unknown schedule might prove more fun than a traditional 7:30 -5, but we shall see. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm late (busy weekend) but paying you a visit from the Friday Chaos hop.
