Currently I'm:
Feeling: Brain dead & tired. Its that time of the semester-- the last push. The time when, as a prof, I vacillate between panicking that I'm never going to get through it all, and panicking that I'm not going to have enough to last the semester. Nothing a lovely weekend nap can't cure though. Come on Saturday, I'm waiting for you!
Imagining: Spring. If I squint my eyes and try really hard I can sort of remember what spring is like. I think we had one this time last year, before the endless winter of 2013 came in to our lives. I'm imagining fresh breezes & flowers & tweeting birds. Sigh.
Considering: Breakfast. Making myself toast to go with my second cup of coffee. Not exciting, but honest. I'm pretty sure I have a few slices of gluten free bread left...maybe I'll have it with that Wensleydale with cranberries cheese. Have you ever had Wensleydale with cranberries cheese? You must. Its scrumptious. Not very breakfasty though. Hmmmm. Best save the cheese for snack after work. Told you I was considering breakfast.
Listening to: At the moment, I'm listening to my two beautiful teenage children crash around their rooms as they get ready for school, set to the clacking of the keys on my keyboard. The cd currently in my car is a modern version of a mixtape {anyone remember mixtapes? Sigh}: The Lumineers, The Head and the Heart, the Avett Brothers, Old Crow Medicine Show, Alex Clare, Bob Dylan, Lyle Lovett, and a little Fun. for good measure. I think that's all of 'em.
Hi there! I have ventured over from Thumpin’ Thursday. I'm enjoying this little peek into your world! Just lovely! XOXO, Mandi @ All My Happy Endings

The end of the semester is still feeling far away to me, but I'm sure the next few months will fly. Spring really IS almost here!

So glad to have you join in! We went from triple bedspreads last week to sleeping with the windows open tonight (or we will do this tonight, anyways) so hang onto hope, Spring is actually on its way! Love Lyle, saw him play a show in the park once when we lived in NYC, a forever fan from that moment forward.
ReplyDeleteI hope you got your nap...or maybe two. Thanks for the beautiful music offerings. We had some signs of spring today...a little sunshine...the husband's using the barbecue. I hope you got signs as well. :) Jo
