Thoughts on Rewinding: An Ageless Derma Review

Hey everyone!  If you don't already know, I'm Tabetha-- though most people call me Taby.  I am the wife of a phenomenal man, the mother of 3 fantastic kids & am 43 years old.

And this is me without make up.  Sigh.

I am lucky.  My Mom has the most beautiful skin.  And despite my best efforts to ruin my genetic good luck with 15+ years of smoking {I quit for the last time 2 years ago}, more late nights than I can remember & a unique form of amnesia that seems to only apply to remembering to drink water, my skin isn't in bad shape.

But it could be better.  I have fine lines.  I get dark shadows.  And the bane of my existence are the little annoying lines that circle my upper lip.  Argh.  I get angry just thinking about them...

I am not loyal when it comes to skincare.  Or make up or shampoo for that matter.  Or any product really.  I use a product as long as I see results, then I move on.  Lately I'd been using a generic brand, but I've used some fancier sorts in the past.  I just couldn't justify the cost for the minimal results, you know?

Anyway.

That brings me to Ageless Derma.  They asked if I'd like to try their Ageless Derma Retinol and Vitamin K Eye Cream in exchange for an honest review.

Yes.  Bring it on.

It arrived within days, which was impressive.  And it looked pretty swanky, which was also impressive. As the website states, the ingredients are all natural, enhanced by science.

Incidentally in doing a bit of background research I found several organic and/or all natural skincare sites that gave Ageless Derma a clean bill of health.  They are also highly reviewed on Amazon, though the particular product I was using was not available through that site.  I spent a few hours searching the web over a few days trying to dig up complaints against Ageless Derma and found none.

Anyway.

The directions state: "3 times a week apply the cream on cleaned, dry skin, avoiding direct contact with the eye. Progress to daily use as needed.Gently massage in until completely absorbed.  Might cause a light peeling as the skin's cells regenerate, and a slight redness as the blood supply in the area is increased."

So I did.  No ill effects or redness.  There was a noticeable tightening starting around the 3rd day, but in no way was it painful or itchy.  The cream itself is nice and light, easily absorbed with a little going a long way.

After a few days I noticed a marked decrease in the dark circles I tend to get, and a general decrease in the fine lines around my eyes.

I am happy.
To be fair, I've only used it for a week.  Based on what I've seen so far, I'm eager to see where I will be in a few more weeks {they recommend 8 weeks for full results based on volunteer studies}.

I am also eager to order some of their other products.  Especially those that I can apply to that pesky upper lip.  I'm looking at you Ageless Derma Anti Wrinkle cream.   Ooohh.  And the mineral make up.  Sigh.

Yes.

So, what is my verdict?

Go for it.  I think you'll be pleased with the results.  I know I am.  http://www.agelessderma.com

I'll do a follow up in a few weeks for sure and that one will include more selfies demonstrating my wrinkle-free awesomeness~*

OH!  By way of another follow up review, I just got my first pair of shoes from The Scarpetta, the online shoe store I posted about a few weeks back.

Are they not adorable??  A real steal too.  They got here just in time for summer school to start (first day of teaching is this coming Monday)-- so look for these sweet shoes in outfit posts to come.  You must put The Scarpetta in your online shopping bookmarks!

  2. You don't even need makeup! Your skin is beautiful and you are too! I am surprised you were a smoker. To be honest, I wouldn't have thought that. This brand sounds nice. I could certainly use help with the dark circles under my eyes. :)

  3. You look great without makeup! I'm just awful and lazy with skin care. I'm starting to get wrinkles so I know it's time to step it up before its too late.
